We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.

For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.

Communication is crucial at Galilee Catholic Primary School Bondi and we keep parents updated about learning, procedures and protocols.

We communicate through the Compass app, which is a place for parents to receive regular updates, grade information, parent information sessions, school reports, newsletters and notes.

Parents are welcome to visit office staff if they require assistance to upload the Compass app on their device.

At Galilee the P&F is called the Parents and Friends Coordinating Group (PFCG) and every parent/carer is automatically a member. The main function of this group is to plan and coordinate community and fundraising activities. The group is empowered to coordinate activities in consultation with school leadership that focus on:

  • welcoming
  • parent education
  • uniform
  • faith development/spirituality of parents
  • fundraising.

The group shares news via the school newsletter during the year.

VISIT COMPASS

The focus of the service will be to offer the children a safe and nurturing environment where homework is supervised, physical activity is promoted, and healthy snacks are provided. A range of activities are also available for the children to unwind after a busy day at school. Homework Club will start at 3:00 – 6:00 pm on Monday to Friday. It will be supervised by a qualified teacher Miss Billi Moss and a learning support officer Miss Kinga Ridlisbacher-(LSO). Homework Club will take place in the hall so parents and carers will access through the Oakley Road gate.
